A big question for space investing in 2025, or experienced traders who never tire of learning how to invest in space, is who else is investing with me? Who am I trading against?
As we focus on space investing in stocks / shares / equities and of course space funds / ETFs, let’s take a shallow dive on who in Europe (Germany, France, United Kingdom to name a few) also invests in selected European space stocks.
The following information was made using freely available data (ownership lists of space companies (that may be months out of date)), our own research and writing, and instructing an unmentioned A.I. tool to draw out analysis. We have not used A.I. or machine learning to add a touch of spice and flare to the pixelated words your eyes are skimming over right now. That’s a writer’s job.
This article is divided into two parts: Large European Space Investing Companies and selected European Space Stocks.
Large European Space Investing Companies
First, we made a query on European Space Investors that have invested in three or more European space companies, based on our sources:
BlackRock Advisors (UK), DWS Investment GmbH (Germany), UBS Fund Management (Switzerland) AG, Allianz Global Investors GmbH, State Street Global Advisors Ireland Limited, Amundi Asset Management, SAS (France).
First Conclusion: For well known European space stocks, you are trading against large players, meaning they have done their screening, may use algorithmic trading, but are also slow to move on new trends. Their mandate for covering the large blue-chip space shares could be based on dividends, sentiment and heritage; some of them have been around for decades are astute in gathering EU defence contracts.
